Cooperation with Center of higher-education Ptuj
E-institute, within the framework of project activities, has recognized the opportunity in local environment offered by Business Educational Center (MIC) acting within the School Center Ptuj. The primary purpose of the MIC is to promote cooperation between industry and the education system and contribute to the development of both sectors.
In order to promote the competitiveness of the local economy, the project MOVE (SI-AT 2007-2013) established a demonstration center of solar technologies in order to apply the practical training program for installers of solar technologies. The demonstration center allows a direct comparison of the use of solar energy with different technologies (water heating and electricity production), while serving as a tool for a students of program installer for renewable energy sources. The tool enables the implementation of practical plumbing work installation and repair of solar modules in the real world. The center has been designed taking into account the established best practices from Burgenland.

The premises of MIC offer an opportunity to further develop the training center for installers of emerging renewable technologies, equipped with the latest training equipment. In cooperation between E-institute and Austrian partners a new education program has been developed. Followed by train-the-trainers program conducted in Güssing, Austria - based on the curriculum aimed at improving knowledge and competence base in the field of RES installations. MIC Ptuj has provided the necessary facilities for carrying out trainings; the project Recovery on the other hand covered the investments into training equipment.
The proposed training program is aimed at students of technical fields, job seekers and businesses offering specialized practical knowledge and capacity-building in field of RES technologies.
Implementation of the activities has been enabled by the cross-border cooperation program Slovenia Austria, in partnership with project MOVE (promoting best practices in energy efficiency and RES) and project RECOVERY (improving competitiveness and economic growth of cross-border area).

Statements of the trainees after completion of the programme:
Leticia Guedes, Brazil (2017)
Being able to work in my area of studies and develop personal and professional skills was my main goal when I applied for a position at E-zavod and I am glad to testimony my expectations were met and exceeded. The unique international work experience I got exposed to by attending meetings and participating on projects is something that I am very grateful for, and will undoubtedly help me in my professional career. My colleagues at E-zavod were a pleasure to work with and always very supportive. I would recommend E-zavod with absolute confidence for students who are interested in sustainability issues and who want to acquire practical work experience in project management.
Ákos Szécsényi, Hungary (2017)
I believe E-zavod is a perfect place to stay as an Erasmus+ intern. Here, I managed to improve my managerial and language skills by participating in numerous projects, meetings and events. I also found some ongoing projects extremely interesting and relevant to my profession, thus, I was all the time enthusiastic about working here. The colleagues were helpful, highly motivated and made a really good atmosphere in the office. I learned and experienced a lot here, so I recommend E-zavod for students that are interested in its projects and want to enjoy living in this beautiful country.
Bérangère Messager, France (2015)
For my first experience as a trainee and abroad, I must say that my internship at E-zavod has reached my expectations. I enjoyed working in a small and very friendly team and I really improved my English in these conditions. Besides, I was very independent in the fulfillment of my tasks, and this confidence that Darko had in me encouraged me to be myself more self-confident and to take more initiative and to take on responsibilities. I had the opportunity to prepare and submit my own EU project proposal and to handle the communication with European partners. In the frame of this mission, I gained skills and working methods that I will be able to apply for other topics and in other conditions; and I think this is valuable. I am really satisfied of what I have completed in the frame of my internship, and I would highly recommend E-zavod for an internship!
Maja Novosel, Croatia (2015)
At E-zavod I had the opportunity to learn a lot about EU project management and put it into practice. The traineeship programme offered me the opportunity to get hands-on experience in preparation and submission of a big transnational project. This is not one of those traineeships where you would be bored by doing boring, repetitive tasks. On the contrary, I took responsibility for many activities, including communication with partners and administrative tasks that inevitably accompany EU funded projects. I am very satisfied with what I did and learnt at E-zavod, and I would recommend this traineeship programme to those who want to use their "internship time" wisely, learning something useful for their studies and their professional future in general. The atmosphere at the office is nice, all the colleagues are young, friendly and ready to help you if you get stuck, so don't hesitate to come to Ptuj :).
Neslihan Akdemir (2014)
"During my summer internship I had an experience in a multi-cultural work environment. It was a great experience indeed. Mr Fercej and the team are great people, they were quite warm and welcoming. I consider myself as a lucky person for being a part of that team. They were the nicest coworkers I have ever seen. They were all experts in their fields and there is still a lot to learn from them."
Villo Tooth, Hungary (2014)
"I finished my traineeship at E-institute in the summertime. I couldn’t wish for any better company to do my traineeship. I worked 8 hours a day, I had my own pc and a desk. I also gained important skills for my upcoming studies and gained lots of information on the project management. All the colleagues were really friendly, helpful and open minded. I really liked the atmosphere in the company. We had lunch together several times and I had a chance to attend a project meeting in Wroclaw with Mr Darko and Mr Erlih. Mr Darko, the director of the company, was really helpful and kind all the time. I will really miss this team and I will never forget my time spent there."
Gauthier Cante, France (2013)
"I chose E-institute as a hosting structure for my final internship in 2013, because I wanted to benefit of an international work experience and also because E-institute’s activity fields were totally in accordance with my wishes (energy, European project management…).
Firstly, I am really happy to take this choice and I recommend it to all interested people.
The director Mr Ferčej was always available, from my 1st e-mail till the last day of my internship and we’re still in contact today. I can say the same for all the team. All were really professional in their work and really friendly. That’s why the work atmosphere was really pleasant.
And don’t be afraid to move in Slovenia. This country isn’t really famous, but it is really pleasant to live there. You’ll discover a new culture in a wonderful place in the middle of Europe and close to various other countries. The people here are usually happy to meet foreigners, and this was another great point. There are really no reasons for not trying to get this chance."
