Project Title: Testing New European Bauhaus Solutions for Deep Green Transformation of Cities and Regions in the Euro-MED Area
Project Acronym: Bauhaus4MED
Programme Priority: Greener MED
About the project
Project Summary
Bauhaus4MED aims to reshape the perception of ecology and green transformation from a necessity to a desired goal through the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative, which emphasizes aesthetics and citizen participation in urban green transformation. The project will develop a novel "CROWDVOCACY" tool, integrating crowdfunding, crowdsourcing, participative democracy principles with aesthetic green architecture design to create citizen-tailored solutions for better living. Pilot projects in five regions/cities will focus on circular building materials, regenerated green urban spaces, green products, and lifestyle, supported by a transferable toolbox, green transformation action plans, and high-level policy conferences to mainstream NEB principles and ensure long-term sustainability. This project represents a groundbreaking approach to urban and regional development, promoting sustainability, inclusion, and aesthetic enhancement as core values for the future of our cities and regions.
