E-zavod supports communities and companies in the transition to a circular economy through various programmes and projects:
Slovenian Circular Economy Centre
From 2025, the Slovenian Circular Economy Centre has been operating, implemented by a partnership of eight organisations (including E-zavod), aimed at accelerating Slovenia’s transition to a circular economy (https://www.ezavod.si/en/eu-projects/ongoing-projects/sustainable-and-circular-economy/sckg).
The Slovenian Circular Economy Centre (SCKG) has established a network of physical entry points across Slovenia and a central Virtual Entry Point, which together form a national support system for the transition to a circular economy.
The entry points provide companies, municipalities, organisations and individuals with access to the knowledge, information, expert support and connections needed to develop circular solutions.
The SCKG Virtual Entry Point (www.sckg.si) brings together expert content, training, practical tools, a database of solution providers, and examples of good practice and projects in one place.

E-zavod is part of the network of SCKG physical entry points and provides local expert support for the circular and green transition.
The thematic areas we work on:
- closing loops at the local level – circular management of water, waste, space, energy, local infrastructure; financial mechanisms to support the circular economy; training to build competencies in the field of the circular economy
- circular bioeconomy
- support in obtaining funding from financial mechanisms and technical assistance mechanisms
- support in preparing circular economy strategies and action plans, and support in designing individual circular systemic solutions at local/regional level
- training to build competencies in the field of the circular economy
Entry point location: Čučkova ulica 5, 2250 Ptuj
Office hours: Every Thursday 15:00–17:00 by prior appointment at .

CCRI Circular Cities and Regions – pilot region Podravje
Collaboration with RRA Podravje Maribor within the European Commission’s CCRI (Circular Cities & Regions Initiative), where Podravje was selected as one of twelve pilot communities that committed to a transition to a circular economy with expert support from the European Commission (https://circular-cities-and-regions.ec.europa.eu/pilots/podravje-maribor). During the process, we designed several circular systemic solutions (CSS) in the field of the bioeconomy, such as circular fertiliser production, utilisation of river sediments, use of treated wastewater in agriculture, and similar. More information is available in the document below – Regional Strategy for the Transition to a Circular Bioeconomy Podravje 2023–2030.

Circular economy projects
E-zavod supports the circular economy also by implementing various projects in the field of waste heat utilisation (www.waste-heat.eu), introducing circular principles in cities (CITYCIRCLE https://programme2014-20.interreg-central.eu/Content.Node/CITYCIRCLE.html), circular management of food leftovers (CEFoodCycle), and similar. Participation in international networks
At the beginning of 2023, E-zavod became a member of the ACR+ network (https://www.acrplus.org), which complements our activities in the field of the circular economy. ACR+ is an international network of cities and regions that share the goal of promoting sustainable resource management and accelerating the transition to a circular economy. E-zavod is also a member of Climate KIC, where it also served for two years as the coordinator of the national hub (www.climatehub.si).
