Project information
PROJECT TITLE: HEAT 35 - Transforming district heating systems of Central Europe into sustainable and efficient heating and cooling systems by 2035
ACRONYM: HEAT 35
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Many district heating networks in Central Europe are still largely dependent on fossil fuels. New approaches use various sources to produce heat, but they are still complex systems to implement. The HEAT 35 project supports eight regions and cities in the energy transition process to operate their district heating systems with 50% renewables and waste heat by 2035.
The partners are operators and experts in the district heating sector, suitable subjects to design new solutions. The partnership will also prepare guidelines and tools to implement these solutions, supported by a quality management system that helps to ensure compliance with emission standards.
